1. The historic center , the best area to sleep in Antwerp

Antwerp is a relatively small city in Belgium, so sleeping in the historic center of the city is a great idea. Most of its attractions are concentrated in its historic center: the Cathedral, the Grote Markt square, its most important museums. If you want to be close to everything, it is undoubtedly the best area to stay in Antwerp.

Regarding the price, it should be noted that it is the area with the largest hotel offer in Antwerp. Although it is a small city, it is very touristy and that means that it has many accommodations. Sleeping in the historic center of Antwerp is the most expensive, although if you look in advance you can find hotels for around €90 per night . To give you an idea, from the station to the Cathedral it won’t take you more than 15 minutes to walk along the Meir , the main commercial avenue of the city.

As we have said, Antwerp is a tiny city in which everything is relatively close. The city center and the surroundings of the Central Station are the best areas to stay in Antwerp , so apart from these two areas we do not recommend too many alternatives. Even so, if you find a good offer in Eilandje you can consider the option.

Located north of the historic city center, this modern residential neighborhood is home to some of Antwerp’s most interesting museums such as the Red Star Line and the Muuseum aan de Stroom. To get to the historic center it would take about 15 minutes on foot and about 30 with respect to the Central Station. As for the price, most of them cost more than €100 per night, although you can find offers for just over €70. If you haven’t noticed yet, sleeping in Antwerp is a bit expensive.
